My professional career began as an architectural designer at DLR Group in Seattle. Within three years, I advanced from intern level to project architect seeing my own projects from conceptualization through construction. At DLR Group I had the opportunity to work on high-profile projects such as the Portland Municipal Services Building, two youth correctional facilities, a large justice center in Skagit County, as well as several high-stakes marketing efforts. These projects helped me learn how to effectively lead client meetings, produce design and construction documents, and collaborate with engineers, interior designers, and construction personnel to exceed the expectations of every client and introduce beauty, efficiency, and functionality into every space I design.
